Security Features

With 40 years of service to the printing industry, Ace Forms of Kansas , has consistently offered top of the line security features for your forms needs. We offer a wide variety of the latest security features to keep your documents as secure as possible.

You can choose your own level of security, from using one or two features to multi-level security features customized to your needs.

We offer the following Security Features:

Bleed Through MICR Numbering

Special dyes in the MICR ribbon bleed through the paper making the number visible on the back side of the form; to alter a number, it would have to be completely removed.

Artificial Watermark

Printed in transparent ink or varnish; photocopy and scanner resistant; printed features are visible from one side only when held at a 45 degree angle.

Warning Band

All security features should be used in conjunction with proper warning messages. Warning messages alert check handlers, processors and potential forgers that specific security features are present.

Void Pantograph

Screen tint backgrounds in which the word "void" is hidden. When photocopied, the word "void" appears. This technology works best when using PMS ink colors that have 11% to 27% black in the ink mix. Effectiveness will vary based on the capabilities of the copier and are not guaranteed on all copiers.

Microprinting

Text printed so small that it appears as a screened line; fills or plugs if scanned or photocopied; must be verified with a low powered magnifying glass. Commonly used as a signature line. (see example above.)

Thermochromic Inks

Ink that when subjected to heat will change colors or go to colorless. Photocopier and scanner resistant. Allows those receiving the item to check authenticity of the document.

DocuCheck Watermark Security Paper

  • A True Watermark - DocuCheck's fourdrinier watermark is pressed into the paper while it is still wet, producing a clear, highly defined image that resists photocopying and scanning. In regular light, the watermark is visible from both sides of the sheet.
  • Chemical Reactants - This process resists duplication and alteration by having invisible chemical reactants in the paper. The reactants produce permanent stains when bleach or solvents are used to alter the document.
  • Invisible (Fluorescent) Fibers - For authenticity, these fibers are visible only under ultraviolet light and are extremely difficult to duplicate.
  • Visible Fibers - The visible fibers are randomly arranged and visible on both sides of the paper. Detectable in ordinary light, visible fibers provide easy identification when the document is examined without special equipment.
  • Bond and Carbonless - DocuCheck is available in both 26# Carbonless and 24# Bond. The Carbonless check has an endorsable CB coating that prevents pens from skipping when endorsing checks. The 24# Bond sheet paper is laser compatible.
  • Paper Distribution Protection - Tight Security in all stages of production from manufacturing to warehousing to distribution ensures DocuCheck Watermark is only available to legitimate customers.
